Ah, we're still going to the whole "protests are chasing away investors" thing, are we? It's a bullshit argument, of course. It's like blaming the doctor for your AIDS. This is what's completely flown over the heads of our so-called leaders: the protests aren't a problem, they are a symptom of a problem. If people are protesting, well, that's a sure fucking sign that something's off, right? So you go ahead and do what you can to fix the damn problem. You don't cover your ears, go LALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU and arrest everyone left and right to cover up the problem.
But that's exactly what you do every. damned. time. this happens, and you bitch and moan about how people are too scared to invest in a country that has people complaining about unjust laws every once in a while. Yeah, why on earth would anyone be scared away over something like that?
