Just sick of it

Cleaned up the blogroll a little bit and updated the webcomics section after finding a couple of really neat ones. They're all solid, if not good, if not outright great. Nice to see the long-running ones still going strong; Achewood consistently brings the surreal and absurdity, while Order of the Stick still manages to make its loooong fantasy epic smart, funny and surprising. Dresden Codak is gorgeously drawn and I love how it revels in hard sci-fi. Right now I'm reading Rice Boy, which just blows my mind with its confident storytelling and massive scope. Seriously, if you're bored at the workstation, give 'em a look.

Now, on to what's the latest Stupid going on with Malaysian politics...

Seriously, PAS? Beer? This again? You have a major, suspicious death and massive anti-ISA protests all in the last three or so weeks, and this is your chosen crusade?

I think DAP and PKR need to decide one day if it's really worth having PAS around. I am so sick and tired of writing about how stupid the whole thing is, how insulting they're really being to Malays by implying that they have absolutely no self-control, that they'd be compelled to buy the first available beer bottle they see. I'm sick of reading about how Chinese and Indians need to be "sensitive" to Malays/Muslims while these kinds of laws and regulations just serve to screw them over. Also, seriously guys: if a Malay really, really wants a bottle of Heineken, there's really nothing you can do to stop them.

We really need to ditch the whole "Islam is about controlling what people do" thing, fast. Nice to see that Khalid Ibrahim does have the balls to stand up to these dumbasses.
